Welcome to the CHS Library Media Site

The purpose of this site is to help Columbus students, staff, parents, and other community members access online resources and information quickly and effectively, encourage reading for pleasure and promote good research skills. In an information age, literacy demands not only the ability to read and write, but also the ability to process information and communicate effectively.

Computers @ CHS

The LMC has 22 computer workstations. The Open Access Lab has 20 computer workstations. Save your work often! This should be done every few minutes, especially after every major change.

If you experience problems printiing, see the staff. Do not logout of a school computer until your file has finished printing. Do not print directly from a web browser. Copy and paste into a word processing document such as Microsoft Word and then print.

Lab computers do not have floppy drives. Bring files from home on a flash drive or CD-R or email yourself the file. School computers are for education purposes and school work. For your safety, your computer may be remotely monitored at any time.

Reminder to all students

The media center is a quiet study area. There is NO food or drink allowed in the media center or computer lab. Please be respectful of others.

Printer Cartridges

Help the media center raise money by bringing in empty printer cartridges from home.
