Any students who have the clear plastic sleeves from having posters hung up on their locker, that they are just keeping in their lockers, please turn them into Mrs. McElroy in the office.
Semester Tests for Grades 9-11 students:
Semester tests will be on Friday May 24 (pds 1-3), Tuesday May 28 (pds. 4-6) and Wed. 29 (pds. 7-8).
Semester Test pds will be 90 mins in length
May 24: 7:30-9 (1); 9:05-10:35 (2); 10:40-12:10 (3)
May 28: 7:30-9 (4); 9:05-10:35 (5); 10:40-12:10 (6)
May 29: 7:30-9 (7); 9:05-10:35 (8);
No Breakfast or Lunch will be served on any of the Sem. Test Days.
If a student misses any time during the Semester Test days, they should get those tests made up in the afternoon with the teacher
If you have a Study Hall during the 1st or last testing pd of a day, you do not have to be at Columbus during that pd.
Summer Employment Opportunity: Contact Jeremy Kruth at JS Welding if you have any interest in working in a welding shop. You must be graduating or an incoming senior. Work would include shop clean-up and general assembly. Stop at JS Welding (141 Center Street Waterloo) to learn more
Lunch Account Balances: If you have a negative balance, PAY IT OFF!

Students: You've heard the announcements and seen the posters for Medley/Service Club, but do you really know what this group does? Are you interested in being involved with Medley/Service Club? If so we would like you to sign up to receive emails and be a part of our meetings. Stop in the main office and sign up for Medley/Service Club at Mrs. Klaren's desk!!
Juniors: Interested in Eucharistic Ministering at mass here at Columbus next year? The Archdiocese has a policy that you need to be commissioned to minister within your home parish along with school, and not just school. If you are interested please contact your parish Director of Faith Formation for information on trainings. Mr. Larsen will check with each parish to find out who has been commissioned and will contact you about ministering here at Columbus.
Students looking for service hours, we have a individual who is looking for some help with spring prep yard work and some small plant removal. If you are interested, please see Mr. Larsen for contact information!
SPORTS & ACTIVITIES:
Sat the girls tennis team advanced to the regionals defeating grinnel 5-1. Winning matches for the sailors were Lindsay McManus, Ashlee Sinnott, Gabby Greco, Maggie Weber and Carlie Sullivan.
Congratulations to Jason, Zach, Luke, Michielu and Bri on participating at State Track last Thursday and Fri. Great job!
Vocal Music News: Students are invited to a meet and greet with the new choir director during your lunch periods today. Please stop by the cafeteria and grab your lunch and then bring it with you to the choir room and join us in welcoming Miss. Keber to CHS!
Upcoming Volleyball Meeting: There will be a meeting for anyone who will be going out for volleyball this fall, in the commons, after school on Monday. Some of the information you will be getting will be about open gym times.
